The importance of Christian higher education has never been
greater! College years are said to be
the significant time in a student’s “search for identity.” According to an article in Christianity Today
(March 2006), “the results of nearly 25 years of research consistently reveal
that those who do not attend a Christ-centered college will experience a
decline in religious values, attitudes, and behaviors during college.” Steve
Henderson, President of Christian Consulting for Colleges and Ministries, Inc.,
states, “…if the past is a fair indication of the future, at least half and
possibly over two thirds of our kids will step away from their faith while
attending non-Christian colleges and universities.” Perhaps the biggest mistake we could make
would be to think that it would not happen to our kids! As well as an education
from an all-important Christian worldview, the quality of an education at Great
Lakes Christian Colleges is second to none! We would love to tell you more! If

Christian comic Brad Stine is on a mission – a mission to free us all from the chains of political correctness and prevent our eventual ‘wussification.’  From his Nashville stronghold, Stine is mounting his crusade against these hypocrisies, all of which are explored in his highly anticipated 4^th album/DVD, aptly titled ‘WUSSIFICATION!’

“You know what offends me?...Offended people,” says Stine.  A staunch supporter of first amendment rights and foe of political correctness, Stine asserts that rights should be universally applied.  “In a country with guaranteed rights to freedom of religion, its citizens are constantly trying to make faith in public spheres illegal.  I am offended by that contradiction and want to talk about it as a comic.”   The strength of his conviction about our freedoms can be found in many places on WUSSIFICATION – from “Merry Christmas Too!” (the right to celebrate religion) to “At Least We’re Not France!” (the responsibility to take action as a country) to “Spank” (the ability to discipline our children the way we see fit).

Comic Brad Stine will be at the Doty Center on the campus of Great Lakes Christian College on January 31 at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6).  Tickets are available through iTickets.com or through the Great Lakes Christian College bookstore by calling  517-321-0242  517-321-0242, ext. 220.  General admission is $10 and Gold Circle is $18.
